Important to know...
The Academy of Transactional Analysis is proudly working towards becoming a recognised psychotherapy training establishment registered with the United Kingdom Association of Transactional Analysis. This means we're not enrolling onto our clinical years just yet. However, we are accepting applications for the foundation year October 2026 intake. You can count the foundation year towards your TA training or as a separate course for your personal or professional development. When you complete the foundation year, The Academy of TA presents you with certificate awarded by UKATA.
Stage Three - Level 7
Certification as a Transactional Analyst Psychotherapist
Certified Transactional Analyst - CTA (P)
This stage is for experienced practitioners moving into advanced clinical practice and deep psychological work. You will achieve the international gold standard in TA, granting you full status as a Certified Transactional Analyst and direct registration as a UKCP Registered Psychotherapist. This advanced qualification involves an extended clinical written study and an oral examination panel (viva).
At The Academy of TA, we view theory through an intersectional lens, explicitly supporting you in bringing all parts of your identity, culture, and unique processing style into your work. We actively work with external examining bodies (like UKATA and EATA) to ensure reasonable adjustments are supported throughout your advanced qualification joureny.
This qualification aligns with SCoPEd column C (Psychotherapist Level). At this stage you achieve the international gold standard in TA, granting you full status as a Certified Transactional Analyst and direct registration as a UKCP Registered Psychotherapy.
